Kara joined Holman Cahill in 2026 after 5 years of legal experience in Washington state. Her practice areas include immigration law and estate planning. In both immigration and estate planning matters, Kara is committed to walking alongside clients as they navigate complicated and emotional decisions.
In Kara’s estate planning practice, Kara works closely with clients to design tailored plans that address their needs and provide peace of mind. Her practice covers a broad range of planning services including Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Health Directives.
In Kara’s immigration practice, she approaches complex matters with sensitivity and precision. Her practice includes naturalization (citizenship applications), applications for permanent residence, and family petitions. Kara previously worked as the Immigration Legal Services Manager at World Relief Western Washington, a non-profit in the area providing legal services to refugees and other immigrants, then as an immigration attorney in Redmond, WA assisting a global tech company with employment-based immigration matters and I-9 issues.
Kara lives in the Seattle area with her husband, Preston, and two children. In her free time, Kara enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, reading, and traveling.
